"Creativity is a human process, not necessarily linear, by which results in a novel and useful product for the individual, group or collective"
*CONCEPTUALIZATION:
It should be noted in this concept the notion of process and product, but also the way how to get to get that product. It also includes the utility that the product can be created, and that is determined by the benefit that such action brings. The paths of creativity are often not straight, but there are a number of shortcuts and paths that others have not, because as Einstein said: those who follow the paths that others have drawn only where they will have arrived.
The concept of creativity is associated with the building, although the Royal Academy describes "create" as: the art of making or doing something out of nothing (Santillana, 1999: 308), it is evident that this take us back to one big existential paralysis proportions and would deny the great advances that man has had since its inception. It would be more interesting and relevant link creativity to "useful innovation" (Marin, 1998), as the same concept would relate the creative act with the appearance of something new, and also of benefit to society, group or individuals.
*INDICATORS OF CREATIVITY:
Before addressing the issue of activating creativity is important to note what are those characteristics that indicate that a product or idea ... no creativity. What are these indicators? Here are some of them, presented by Richard Marin and Saturnino de la Torre (1991). The authors note a number of factors as indicators of creativity used to obtain information about the style and the creative potential of people. These core indicators are an appreciation and understanding of the creative process itself, summarized as follows:
1- Originality: This refers to the new, unique, unique and authentic.
2- Flexibility: Is opposed to the rigidity, immobility, inability to change behavior and create new responses to change and new situations.
3- Productivity and Flow: Refers to the number of responses and solutions provided by the subject in a situation. To evaluate this trait, verbal tests counted the number of responses, and the graphics tests, the number of images that the person has been built.
4- Preparation: It is related to the process and information organization, welcomed the capacity of people to express themselves as accurately as possible.
5- Analysis: The ability to break down mentally a reality in their parts. The analysis usually focuses on the ability to distinguish and differentiate each other concepts.
6- Summary: Related to the ability to create diagrams, organize information and extract the most valuable features.
7- Mental Opening: Refers to the possibility that the person has to face challenges and obstacles and solve them, looking for the greatest number of possible alternatives.
8- Communication: The ability to transmit and share messages, products and discoveries with others.
9- Sensitivity to problems: Empathy to perceive and find difficult and challenging situations. Each person tries to find the best possible solution.
10- Redefinition: Ability to find uses, functions, applications and different from the usual definitions. Attributing functions and purposes that were not initially planned or who contributed to make the object.
11- Inventive Level: Ability to perceive reality and transform partially or totally.
*THESE INDICATORS CAN BE ADDED AS FOLLOWS:
-Expression: The ability to draw from within the force (from Lat. Exprimiere, ex - pressure) is a key feature to show creativity. A greater voice, the more likely the individual to be free from bondage and break the mold and stereotypes creativity inhibitors (Paz, 2004)
-Sense of Humor: The occurrence, jokes, laughter, joy, are critical to activate and maintain creativity. Creative beings we hardly loaded with boredom, sorry. The light of creativity with many shadows ends. (Paz, 2004)
-The Surprise Factor: The creative person often surprises us with something beyond logic or invented the act itself of events. Many comedians and comedians such as Chaplin, are true representatives of this indicator of creativity. Who we are surprised ... It wakes up everyday! (Paz, 2004)
